Diarrhea is a fairly normal medical condition that happens to most people throughout their lifetime. Diarrhea is when a person has loose bowels, which involves stool being very watery. This process can have varying degrees of pain, and there are a variety of different diarrhea causes. These diarrhea causes can be caused by illness or by ingesting different kinds of food. Diarrhea is one of the biggest causes of death in 3rd world countries and it is the 2nd highest cause of infant deaths worldwide.

This is due to the fact that diarrhea causes a loss of fluid which can lead to dehydration. This can lead to death if the person who had loose bowels doesn’t drink enough water to rehydrate their body. By finding the probable diarrhea causes when you suffer from diarrhea, you can avoid suffering from this condition altogether. This is because if you know what is causing you to have loose bowels, you can stop it from happening. You may need your doctor to prescribe medicine, but there are also over the counter medicines you can use as well. As long as you know what is causing you to get sick, you can do your best to avoid getting loose bowels in the future.

There are a vast many different diarrhea causes. One of the most common causes of diarrhea is a stomach virus, which is sometimes called “the stomach flu” and only lasts a few days. There are many other diarrhea causes as well, which can include bacterial infections, diabetes, competitive running, eating foods that upset your stomach and more. If you have an isolated incident of loose bowels resulting in watery stool, you probably won’t need to treat it.

If you find that you are having diarrhea on a regular basis, then you may want to see your doctor. Depending on what the cause of your loose bowels is will depend on what treatment method will work best for you. You may be having other symptoms other than just diarrhea which can help your doctor pinpoint what might be causing you to have watery stools as it might just be a symptom of a more serious disease. Once you know what is causing you to be sick, then you can begin to treat it.

One of the main treatment methods is to just an over the counter medicine like Pepto-Bismol. It is also very important to drink lots of water as diarrhea causes dehydration which can cause all sorts of problems on its own. If these methods don’t work and you continue to have loose stools, then you may want to consult with your doctor. Your doctor may be able to figure out the cause and give you stronger medicine than what is available over the counter.

There might be alternative treatment methods as well which will target the cause and not a symptom like watery stools. Because there are so many causes, you need to pinpoint that cause. If you find that you are getting sick every time you eat a certain food, that may be causing your loose bowel movements. It’s a good idea to avoid greasy and fatty foods if you are prone to having watery stools. Having diarrhea is something that happens to most people throughout their lives, and there are many diarrhea causes as well. It could be the symptom of a disease, something you ate or just the plain old stomach flu. You can try and treat it at home, but if it persists, you may need to see your doctor. Watery stools can be painful so it is important to find the cause and treat it.
